Dayingjiang National Scenic Spot opens for free during the National Day Holiday

On October 1, Dayingjiang National Scenic Spot opens to the public for the first time, ushering in the first wave of visitor flow peak.

The free admission during the National Holiday attracts visitors from different places. Wandering on the bank of Dayingjiang, which is surrounded by blooming flowers, the visitors are amazed at the splendid scenery. Incomplete statistics suggest that the scenic spot has welcomed more than 70 thousand visitors up to 15:30 on October 2.

It is learned that Dayingjiang National Scenic Spot is located on the opposite side of the new building of the county’s administration center. It is not far from the center of the county town, enjoying advantageous geographical location. The spot offers well-equipped surroundings and large parking lot. The wide road surrounding the river caters to visitors’ need of sporting and sightseeing. Inside the scenic spot stand supporting facilities, square and corridor.

Dayingjiang River is an international river in southwest Yunnan, which originates from mountains in northwest Tengchong County and forms a north-south course from Tengchong County to Yingjiang County. As a tributary of Irrawaddy River, it flows into Myanmar at NO.37 China-Myanmar Boundary Marker and joins the Irrawaddy River in Bhamo, Myanmar. With a 204.5-kilometer watercourse in China, the river covers a run-off area of 5476 square kilometers in China, with 145.5kilometers stretching in Yingjiang County and covering an area of 2726.6 square kilometers. It was approved by the State Council as Yingjiang National Scenic Spot in 1994 and by the National Forestry Bureau as Yingjiang National Wetland Park Pilot in December 2014.

With unique position, the grand Dayingjiang features peculiar charms. The Binlangjiang River, at the upper stream, winds its way through high mountains and rocks of grotesque shapes. The middle reaches of the river is hemmed by fertile land and bamboo groves. Farmland, the houses of Dai people, cattle, cowboy, rice flower, reeds, ducks, fish and shrimps form an idyllic picture.
